Most people who know me know that I’m a big fan of the NFL.
Having just come back from visiting Australia and experiencing Aussie Rules I can now also say that I’m a fan of the AFL too! Of course the problem with having little interests like these when you live in the UK is that very few people are really into them, so if you’re like me and want to watch a game you have to search around a lot and discover that the options tend to be (1) pay premium rates to subscribe to particular channels or websites, (2) break the law, or (3) just go without.
I tend to end up going for option (3) because I’m too cheap for (1) and can’t be bothered enough for (2)…but there is one niche interest that it is possible to access for free and legally…it would seem…
Manga.
I love manga. If you don’t know what that is, it’s the Japanese comic strips which combine great storytelling with great artwork – it’s like a really interesting soap opera being directed by Steven Spielberg.
Although I love it, I’m relatively uninformed about the best series out there – I’m a definite fan of Bleach so if you know of any others which are similar to that please let me know!
